One day last week, I had a text from my ex-colleague. It was then that I found out that there was a retrenchment in my previous company in my team. Gosh, 2 person gone and one is a very senior gal handling an important account. Shocking as it is, it also sets me thinking how things would have turned out if I was still there. Will I be retrenched. Although taking the package seems attractive enough (at else 7-8months) but staying back as the remaining team is also another headache…. Gosh, just one year after I left, and so many chances and things would have been so different if I had not taken on this path.

I don’t know how life will turn out in HRP but the purpose to leave my comfort zone back then was to make more money. Which I did in the past months….. Life is goin to be difficult in the coming more months with the economy downturn…. Guess work is even harder, more efforts for the same thing. And is time like this that we realized, a job is certainly important to hold on to.
