philosophy of life

Today a fre told me something that strikes me thinking.... our philosophy of life.

A couple needs to share the same philosophy in the life as to what we want to pursue, the marriage, family to raising the kids. My fre also asked me if i have the same philosophy as my partner, which is impt. I dun know. I have never really thought about this and have never ask my partner this Q as well.  So maybe this is really impt, which is why so many of my r/s failed in the past?
