B'day dinner @ Au Jardin
I thought I will spend a quiet bday at home this year.... i really dun mind cos as i aged bday are no big deal. so it does came as a surprised 2 days before my bday, Ed msg me asking me if I'm going to treat them dinner (cos it's a trend in their group to have bday treat from the person), so I say ok and fixed a day next sat to have crabs. I also jokingly ask if he is going to date me. And to my surprised, he said ok he'll buy me dinner at Au Jardin.
I was totally ignorant abt that place initially, never heard of it before (ok I am swa ku). Not till princess pinkie told me how grand that place is and how it’s meant only for couples and many special and memorable celebrations were held there. I got a little concern after that cos it also means that it must cost a bomb… so I told him on the day itself, to go somewhere else and is the thought that counts. But he assured me that it is really not a date, just take it as an experience.
So here we go... ended up having a fantastic dinner at Au Jardin. It was totally enjoyable. I really really had a good time.
A little abt Au Jardin:
Au Jardin means “in the garden” in French. It is set amidst the lush greenery of the gardens and was created to resemble Relais et Chateaux restaurants in europe. Located in an elegant colonial house in the middle of Singapore's lush Botanic Gardens
The ambience is simple and elegantly understated--linen-clad tables, dark wooden floors and an overhanging chandelier.
Our table was located at the upper level, at the glass-paneled balconies overlooking the gardens.
Selected the 4-course Table d'Hote menu. Ed is really such a dear to remb that I love Foie gras! So naturally the course includes that. Wow I must say the foie gras is absolutely divine! Orgasmically good. Haha.
this place is all about ambience. It tells the other person that he/she is special enough to be brought here.
Candle light gives a warm ambience to Au Jardin
