4hrs dinning @ Pontini


Had a fantastic dinner with Edmund and Lao shi. In fact one of the longest dinner I had in a long time. We were there from 8pm till 12midnite. All for a 6 course dinner.
Well fine dinning, good ambient and good food does comes with a price...
The 4hrs dinning experience cost $700. *faint* Edmund's treat to us...

I had a bet with Edmund last Fri, loser paid for dinner at any Italian rest. So we ended up at Pontini's. But I was shocked that he left the choice to the chief to whip up something for us! almost fainted with I heard that, cos knowing that fact, the bill for sure cost a bomb! Overall it was a fun nite with the guys.

Thinly-sliced marinated salmon with arugula

Parma ham wrapped ard buffalo mozzarella cheese

Spaghetti with saffron truffle shavings and green asparagus (I just learnt that saffron truffle is one of the most delicious, sophisticated elements of traditional northern Italian cuisine, and very expensive as well. Heard a small truffle can cost a few thousands. Therefore mostly sold by grams.)

Tender lamb shank with saffron truffle mashed potatoes

Thinly-sliced braised pig trotter with pan fried Foie Gras and onion confit

Vanilla hazelnut parfait with seasonal fruits served on Martin glass of lychee sherbet with melons
