smell the roses.......

There had been quite a number of movies lately (Devil wears Prada & Click- the two, I last seen), abt us being able to choose the kind of life we want...

- a soaring high flying career path or
- a simpler family focus life.
I guess I choose the latter.

I dunno if I'm laid back or wat... but I think I tend to want quality time with my love ones. Watching this movie kinda made me realized how very much I want a husband who will always be there for me and my kids. Is it so difficult to be able to find such a guy after all? I think humans have this tendency to be greedy. They sourced for money and power. First they just want to be a manager, next it will be dept manager/ to be made a partner in the business, following which it will be director.... you see, it's never enough and one will never be satisfied with just being there. Nothing is enough, and there will always be more out there to go for.
So where's the end?
I think the other thing abt a lot of Singaporeans is, they are too focus on earning money that they tend to forget their health totally. They are too busy working day and nite that they don’t even have the time to sit down with their family even for a proper dinner. Often dinner is some ta bao from hawker center and eating in front of the tv, worst at 10pm? ... how healthy!

Next they worked so hard that they forget to exercise, it’s an excused abt having the saying, "I'm too busy for this and that... (blab blab blab...). WTF !! Come on you only get to live once. We're only at our 20s once, 30s once... ..... if we miss doing wat we can do not at this age, what more? There's a zillion things we can do now, to experience, to try to learn, to go for before it's too late. Ofcos it's never too late for anything but wat I'm saying is, at this age it's impt to learn to balance our life (at work, social, our health, our family, etc). It's not all abt work and work.....

Guys and gals out there.... pls learn to take some time off, try doing some things that you've always wanted to do but lack the time.... it can be ... yoga, Pilates, dancing, sky diving, diving, going to the gym (not training to be some hunk but just general toning), brisk walking, sailing, watever... just do it!!!

.... most importantly learn to, stop and smell the roses.......
